Medical Physics students may be interested in the Ethical/Policy Issues in Clinical Research course (GMS 6875) that will be offered by UF in Spring 2019. The course will be taught by Professor Bill Allen on Thursdays from 4:00PM to 6:00PM in MSB N1-02.
Delivered in a seminar format, the course covers:
- All 9 topics recommended by NIH for federally-funded research
- Ethical issues in research design and designs mitigating ethical problems
- Animal research, but the primary focus is on research with human subjects
- Basics of informed consent, confidentiality, participant recruitment and selection
