Current job opening for a Clinical Therapy Medical Physicist with a consulting group in the Chicago and NW Indiana area. The group consists of 5 physicists and 2 dosimetrists. 3 of our physicists have degrees from UF. The work is based in busy various clinical settings which average 15-20 patients per day. Most sites have 1 radiation oncologist, 1 physicist, 1 dosimetrist, 1 nurse, and 4 radiation therapists. The clinics will all have two Varian linear accelerators (a Truebeam and a Trilogy) with a Varian Citrix Environment with Aria and Eclipse software. There are also active HDR and SRS/SBRT programs. There are currently 2 new Truebeams scheduled for install in the next 12 months and 2 more scheduled for the next 24 months. This is a perfect opportunity for a recent graduate of a Medical Physics program to acquire the skills needed to succeed in the clinical world. We serve as RSOs, have commissioning projects, and perform annual diagnostic testing, and shielding designs as well. The position offers a very flexible work schedule and commensurate compensation for experience with a bonus structure, sign on bonus, relocation packages and excellent possibility for salary growth. The minimum requirements for application is completion of Master of Science in Medical Physics and board eligibility. Candidates nearing completion of graduate training are also welcome to apply.
