One of our graduates (Brian Wichman – MS 1996) has notified us of four available radiation oncology physics residency positions starting on July 1, 2022 with Texas Oncology. More information about the positions is posted below. It’s great to be a Florida Gator!

Texas Oncology invites applicants for four radiation oncology physics residency positions starting July 1, 2022. The positions will provide clinical training in radiation oncology physics. The positions are based in Round Rock (Austin area), Webster (Houston area), Dallas, and Ft. Worth. The Texas Oncology residency program is CAMPEP accredited.

Qualified candidates MUST have a MS, PhD or certificate from a CAMPEP accredited graduate or certificate program. Applications will be accepted until December 15, 2021. We are unable to sponsor candidates with visas.

The residency is structured for a minimum two year period, during which the resident will gain clinical experience in all aspects of radiation oncology physics. The curriculum is based upon CAMPEP requirements and recommendations of AAPM Report 249.

Texas Oncology is a network of over 500 physicians and oncology specialists with over 200 offices and 55 radiation oncology facilities. Texas Oncology practices house multiple programs in IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, HDR and LDR brachytherapy, radiopharmaceuticals, and state of the art imaging equipment. The residency includes a rotation at the Texas Center for Proton Therapy. The residency takes full advantage of the system wide equipment and clinical resources to provide the resident a broad training experience.
