UF Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics Residents and Graduate Assistants had a very unique opportunity to participate in MRI fringe field strength measurements on the new MR Linac in the Department of Radiation Oncology. These measurements allow the spatial mapping of the fringe field of the MRI’s magnet and demarcation of the 5 Gauss line. A visual reminder of the field strength is crucial to ensuring patient and staff safety in an MRI environment.
