Please join us in congratulating Madison Bushloper, one of our incoming first year MS students, who was part of the UF Department of Materials Science and Engineering undergraduate senior design group that has been selected as one of two undergraduate finalists for the American Nuclear Society Design Competition to present at the American Nuclear Society Winter Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona on Monday, November 14.
The group’s design was for a Boiling Water Reactor with advanced load-following capabilities and a mixed oxide fuel design.
The Student Design Competition Award promotes excellence in the design aspects of nuclear engineering education at universities. We wish Madison and her senior design group the best of luck in Phoenix!
