Join us in welcoming Dr Amanda Schwarz to the UF Medical Physics Graduate Program!
As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology with the College of Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Dr Schwarz works as a Medical Physicist under the direction of Dr Chihray Liu, Chief Physicist. She is actively involved in a wide variety of clinical duties, educational initiatives, research endeavors, and administrative responsibilities.
Dr Schwarz has already assumed an active role in the program, serving as a co-instructor for Therapy Physics I (BME 6591), collaborating with students on research activities, and serving on the Admissions Committee.
We are honored to have Dr Schwarz join the program’s faculty, especially considering that she is a UF Medical Physics alumnus, obtaining both her MS and PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Florida. In fact, subsequent to the program transferring to the College of Medicine in 2017, Dr Schwarz became the first PhD student to graduate with the Medical Sciences/Medical Physics designation.
We look forward to her contributions to the program!
