SDAMPP Board of Directors

Join us in congratulating Dr Lynn Rill, Director of the UF Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics Residency (DIMPR) program, and Dr Stephanie Leon, Assistant Director of the UF DIMPR program and the UF Medical Physics Graduate Program, on being elected to the Board of Directors for the Society of Directors of Academic Medical Physics Programs (SDAMPP) for three-year terms representing residency program directors, and graduate program directors, respectively. UF Medical Physics faculty now hold three of the fifteen seats on the board, as Dr Manuel Arreola, Vice Chair of Medical Physics, currently serves as President-elect of the Society.

The UF Medical Physics graduate and residency programs, both of which were recently reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP), are growing into flagship programs that are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of others through the advancement of the science of Medical Physics.

Our faculty, residents, post-doc, graduate assistants, graduate students, and staff, are fully embracing all missions (patient care; research; education) and emerging as leaders throughout the Medical Physics community. This is clearly evidenced by the Division’s service on the respective boards/committees for Medical Physics/Radiology/Radiation Oncology professional organizations/societies and our representation at local, regional, national, and international meetings/symposiums. This includes not only SDAMPP and CAMPEP, but also the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and many more.
