
Congratulations to UF Medical Physics Graduate Program alumnus Dr Christopher Tien, who was elected as a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) on July 22, 2024, at the 66th Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Los Angeles, California.
AAPM Fellows are members who have distinguished themselves by their contributions in research, education, or leadership in the medical physics community.
Dr Tien is an Associate Professor and Lead Physicist for Brachytherapy in the Department of Therapeutic Radiology at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He received his PHD in Medical Physics at the University of Florida under Dr David Hintenlang.
We are extremely proud of Dr Tien and his impact on the field of Medical Physics & we look forward to his ongoing contributions.
