

Join us in welcoming back UF Alumnus and Visiting Professor, Dr Edmond Olguin (BS 2013 / MS 2015 / PhD 2018 / Residency 2021). Dr Olguin will be visiting next week and is scheduled to give two presentations:

Dr Olguin, born in Lima, Peru, attended the University of Florida for his entire education and training as a medical physicist. He received a BS in nuclear engineering, MS in biomedical engineering, and PhD in medical physics. Dr Olguin completed the UF Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics Residency program in 2021 and obtained dual-board certification in diagnostic medical physics and nuclear medicine. Subsequently, he moved to Boston with his wife Catherine to begin his career as a diagnostic medical physics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and as an instructor at Harvard Medical School. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, two young sons, and their dog Astro, an Australian Shepherd.
