UF Medical Physics is celebrating a successful match with our top-ranked candidate – please join us in welcoming the 2026 UF Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics Resident: Wanbin Tan!
Wanbin is scheduled to defend his dissertation in April and will graduate from Stony Brook University in New York with his PhD degree. His dissertation is titled “Event-by-Event Motion Correction and Inter-Crystal Scatter Recovery for Ultra-High Resolution Brain PET Imaging“. He previously obtained a MS in Nuclear Energy Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei, and a BE in Nuclear Engineering and Technology from Sichuan University in Chengdu.
Wanbin is expected to start the UF DIMPR program on July 1, 2026. We are so happy to welcome him into the program!
