Andrew Soderstrom is a board-certified physicist from Houston, Texas. Having grown up near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, it has taken him some time to get use to the heat, but at least he doesn’t have to shovel sunshine … or the humidity!
As a PhD student in our professional track, Andrew is also employed at MD Anderson, where he works in the out-patient satellite centers, with The Woodlands location as his primary site.
Although he works in therapy, Andrew is completing his PhD in diagnostic physics. His primary interests include automation, image processing, CT reconstruction, and using new technology to improve existing systems.
In his free time, you will find Andrew spending time with his wife and two boys (one who SWEARS he will become a physicist so that he can work with his dad), competing in Olympic weightlifting competitions, or watching movies.
