Education

  • BS: Biomedical Engineering; University of Florida; Gainesville, FL

Cierra’s interests in medicine and physics led her to study biomedical engineering, with a minor in physics. She became interested in medical physics after shadowing professionals in diagnostic imaging through UF’s Medical Physics Internship program, as well as shadowing professionals in radiation oncology through her senior design project. From there, she knew that she wanted to study medical physics in radiation therapy.

In her free time, she likes getting involved in campus organizations such as NSBE and Engineers Without Borders. Cierra enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing competitive volleyball, dancing, listening to music, and pampering her dogs back home. She also loves cooking and baking, especially anything sweet.
