Elizabeth’s introduction to medical physics came about through somewhat unconventional means – the university’s marching band. A conversation with a fellow musician involved in medical physics research served as an introduction to the field and snowballed into pursuing more information about the field, research opportunities, and shadowing physicists. Medical physics turned out to be the perfect intersection of disciplines.
