Katherine discovered the field of medical physics while shadowing a clinic in her hometown of Lima, Peru. After more research, she decided that joining her love of science with her love of medicine was the perfect fit. Specifically interested in proton therapy, Katherine hopes to positively impact patients with difficult cancers via successful treatments using proton therapy.
