Lazaro’s introduction to medical physics was through introductory classes in nuclear engineering. After being introduced to Dr Wes Bolch, Lazaro joined the Advanced Laboratory for Radiation Dosimetry Studies (ALRADS) to explore applications of computational dosimetry. Lazaro plans to work on optimizations of dose tracking software for greater accessibility of radiation therapy and diagnostics in rural medicine.
