Ryleigh’s journey into Medical Physics began at the Conference of Undergraduate Women in Physics, where she was first introduced to the field. This initial experience ignited her interest, leading her to pursue a role during her gap year as a Medical Physicist Assistant at Ackerman Cancer Center. Here, she delved into the complexities of radiation therapy, with a specific focus on Proton Therapy. Ryleigh is interested in research the optimization of Proton Therapy and exploring innovative detector types.

In her leisure time, she enjoys antiquing/thrifting, relaxing at the beach, and cuddling with her cat.
