Ramsés, a board-certified Medical Physicist, is an incoming Professional PhD student who has been a practicing medical physicist for over ten years. Initially, he worked as a therapeutic medical physicist, before switching over to diagnostic and nuclear medicine physics in 2015.
He currently works as the regional head of imaging physics at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida, Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Ramsés held positions at the University of Miami, including Director of Radiation Control Center, Chief of Imaging Physics, and Executive Radiation Safety Officer for UM Health, the University of Miami, and the Jackson Health System.
His research interests include dual energy CT, photon counting CT, Monte Carlo methods for dosimetry and metrology, and dosimetry in Theranostics.
In his free time, Ramsés enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin, and sons, Oliver and Rhys. He is also an avid cyclist and swimmer, having participated in several long distance triathlons and open-water swims.
