As a young girl in Tehran, Iran, Homa became curious about nature and decided to study physics to learn the nature principles at Shahid Beheshti University. This led to to an interest in Biophysics and Biophotonics, so she decided to take a related course at San Jose State University. While at San Jose State, Homa became interested in learning more about the combination of Medicine and Physics, which led her to study Medical Physics.
In her free time, Homa enjoys hiking, bike riding, walking, and baking.
